Out of the box inspection
Out of the box, check all suspension, axel, steering, brake, and engine mount nuts and bolts to ensure they are tight.
Check the oil level, brake fluid level, and brake functionality. Check tire pressure and chain tension.
Ensure the handgrips are tightly secured to the handlebars, if required apply your prefered brand of grip glue such as GRIPLOCK.
Additionally, the chain tension should be adjusted after the first ride, and checked regularly to ensure trouble free operation.

Preventative maintenance
We highly suggest the use of thread lock on all swingarm, suspension, axel, handlebar mount, brake mount, and engine mount bolt threads to ensure they stay tight.
Spending a little time adding a thread lock product to all the bolt threads will save you time and money in the long run.
Even if you do apply a thread lock product, you should still perform an inspection of the vehicle before each ride to ensure safe operation.

Engine break-in and maintenance
To ensure years of trouble free operation of your vehicle, it is important to properly break in and maintain the drivetrain.
Here is the four step process. The engine break-in procedure is as follows:
Maintain a low idle/RPM and DO NOT exceed 25Mph for the first 20 hours of usage.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of usage.
Change the oil after the next 10 hours of usage.
Change the oil after the next 20 hours of usage.
After the break-in period, change the oil every 1-3 months depending on frequency of usage.
Check the oil level regularly and change the oil as necessary to ensure trouble free operation.
Any brand name 10w-30 SAE motor oil is fine.
Failure to comply with this process shall be considered negligence and voids any drive train warranty claims.

Adjusting the chain tension
The chain tension should be adjusted after the first ride and should be checked before each ride.
The chain should be taught and must only give approximately 1/2 of an inch when finger pressure is placed on the center of the bottom length of chain between the front and rear sprocket. To tension the chain you must loosen the rear axel bolts, then adjust the chain tensioners at the back of the frame on each side of the wheel accordingly, and tighten the axel when the chain as been tensioned.
